New Year

Closing One Chapter. Entering the Next With Intention.

First, thank you for spending another year with the Back To Her family. As this year comes to a close, I wanted to take a few minutes to pause, reflect, and share, with honesty and gratitude.

2025 was not a straight line for me.
It was a rollercoaster of joy and grief, faith and fear, loss and alignment.

It began with joy as I launched my 5th anthology,The Second Wind in March. I had a great time in Charlotte celebrating with my colleagues and co authors Just a few days later, my father-in-law passed unexpectedly, life reminded me what truly matters, and family, love, and restoration took center stage.

In June, I joined a self-publishing cohort as both a student and an instructor. In just 30 days, I wrote my second book of the year—and my 10th book overall...Don’t Call Me Crazy, Call Me CEO: A Guide for Women Running Businesses While Managing Their Mental Health. Then on July 5th, my world was shaken again when my dad passed unexpectedly.

Grief has a way of stripping things down to their truth. Life is precious and time is borrowed.

In August, I made one of the easiest and best decisions of my life. I walked away from a high-paying job to save my peace. I went in on my day off, gave them their property, let them know that they had me fucked up,(yes, I really said that), and left. Two weeks later, I started another job… only to be fired on my fourth day. What felt like loss in the moment was actually alignment unfolding.

Because that same month, Don’t Call Me Crazy, Call Me CEO hit the best-sellers list, and a movement was born.

And on October 25th, I married my best friend, the absolute love of my life, after five long, difficult years trying to fix what we had broken over the years. Healing, growth, forgiveness, and faith brought us back to each other in a way that felt nothing short of divine.

As I stand here now, I can say this with full confidence:
My business is growing.
My spirituality is deepening.
My life is expanding in ways I once only prayed for.

This year didn’t teach me how to hustle harder.
It taught me how to lead with intention.

It taught me that clarity changes everything.
That obedience opens doors.
That peace is worth protecting.
And that execution matters just as much as vision.

As we prepare to enter a new year, I want to invite you into something different.

Before the calendar fills.
Before the noise returns.
Before urgency replaces alignment.

I’m hosting the Virtual 2026 Vision Board Party, a space to pause, reflect, and decide who you’re becoming and what you’re building—on purpose. And immediately following, the 2026 Execution Lab, 7-Day Business Planning Challenge starts, where we turn that clarity into a focused, repeatable plan for the first twelve weeks of the year.

Because vision without execution fades.
And intention without action stalls.

If this year stretched you… refined you… or asked more of you than you expected, let this next chapter begin with clarity, not pressure.

We don’t drift into the life we want.
We decide. And then we execute.

Here’s to closing this chapter with gratitude
and opening the next with intention.
